With Canada’s ever-growing immigration population, we have become a very diverse country with many different cultural and religious communities, which include Canada’s two official languages: English and French. Canada is the second largest country by land mass.

There are many natural resources that make our country beautiful: bountiful diamond mines, incredible bodies of water rich in marine life, natural oil sands, and dramatic mountain ranges. Canada is composed of 10 provinces and 3 territories, bordered by the United States to the south, the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Arctic Ocean to the north. Located in the central region of Canada is the province of Ontario, home to our nation’s capital, Ottawa, and the oldest college in Canada – Westervelt College – located in Windsor, Brantford, Kitchener & London.

With its career-oriented training, Westervelt College has been part of Southwestern Ontario’s rich history since it was founded in 1885. Information for International Students Applying to Westervelt College

Thank you for considering Westervelt College as your future educational institution. As an International Student, steps must be considered prior to your acceptance to the college. You must have your transcripts professionally evaluated before you submit them to the college. Please follow these instructions carefully; we want to help you as much as possible.

Each International Student taking a program beyond 6 months in length requires a student visa. This allows you to study in Canada. The requirements are as follow:

1. A letter of acceptance is required from the school
2. Evidence of funds to go to school
3. Proof of you returning home after your studies in Canada
4. Proof of health insurance prior to beginning the program
5. Proof of qualification as a temporary resident in Canada, which may include a temporary resident visa if required

*Please note, if you enroll in a 6-month program, a student visa may not be required

To be considered as a student at Westervelt College, copies of your school transcripts in English evaluated for Canadian Secondary School Diploma equivalency are required. You may contact www.wes.org or www.icascanada.ca if you would like assistance with this. These documents must be mailed or sent by facsimile to our offices. At that time, an admissions officer may contact you by email, but we must also speak with you directly to determine your working English abilities. To do this, the student is required to contact the Career Counsellor Department by telephone.
