Westervelt’s Police Foundations program, taught by active and recently retired
police officers, goes well beyond the province’s training standards. Our Police
Foundation instructors know what it takes to gain employment in municipal,
provincial or federal police services across the country. That means you’ll be
more than ready for the Constable Selection Process you’ll encounter when
applying to police services.

adhere to the daily regimen and discipline required of a police officer.
Rigorous training ensures you become fully versed in Criminal and Civil Law,
Criminology, Principles of Evidence and more.

A member of London Police Service from
1972 to 2003, Izzard was promoted to Staff Sergeant in 1984. He has extensive supervisory
and administrative experience in the areas of community policing, traffic management, front
line policing unit and section commander and major incident command. Izzard was appointed
to the recruiting and training section in 1999 responsible for the recruiting and training
of police officers and civilian staff.
