Part Time Financial Aid Officer

Westervelt College in Brantford, Ontario is growing. Are you looking to be apart of an exciting, dynamic team? Do you enjoy helping others reach their career goals? Do you like to advise, develop, negotiate and finalize financial plans? If so, then you may be the right fit for the role of part-time Financial Aid Officer.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a recent Ministry Update session

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Financial Aid Officer or equivalent experience

  • Develop, negotiate and finalize student financial plans consistent with financial planning policies and procedures and Ministry regulations

  • Have superior knowledge of Microsoft Office and Gmail applications

  • Maintain awareness of financial aid resources

  • Advise prospective students of all tuition funding sources available

  • Assist students with questions regarding the completion of the Financial Aid applications

  • Create estimated financial plans for prospective and current students

  • Accurately and timely prepare forms

  • Prepare and Negotiate student loans

  • Have strong attention to detail

  • Possess solid communication and organizational skills

  • Be a team player
